COMMUNITY MANAGER

Job Summary

At Shepherd Spring Welfare Foundation, we believe in the power of community to bring healing, support, and change. We’re looking for a Community Manager who’s passionate about people, deeply empathetic, and ready to be the voice and heart of our community—both online and offline.

As our Community Manager, you’ll help us grow a caring and informed network of supporters, beneficiaries, and partners. You’ll manage our digital presence and make sure our message of hope and support reaches the right people at the right time. You’ll also be a vital link between the Foundation and the people we serve.

Job Description

  1. Community Engagement:
    Manage and grow the community on platforms such as social media, forums, and messaging channels. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and respectful manner.

  2. Content Development:
    Create and curate engaging content that resonates with the community and aligns with the organization’s mission.

  3. Event Coordination:
    Plan and execute both online and offline community events (e.g., webinars, local meetups, volunteer programs).

  4. Advocacy & Support:
    Identify and nurture community ambassadors. Address community concerns and feedback, escalating issues where necessary.

  5. Monitoring & Reporting:
    Track community engagement metrics and prepare reports on sentiment, reach, and feedback for internal teams.

  6. Collaboration:
    Work closely with marketing, PR, and program teams to align strategies and amplify impact.

Key Skills and Experience:

  1. Proven experience in community management, social media coordination, or public relations.

  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  3. Ability to empathize, connect, and maintain a positive tone with diverse audiences.

  4. Strong organizational and event planning abilities.

  5. Knowledge of social media platforms, online analytics tools, and content management systems (e.g., Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite) will be a plus

  6. Familiarity with nonprofit or NGO environments is a plus.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

N.D / H.N.D / BS.c Certification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field.
